"My oil paintings are on stretched canvas most of which I stretch and prime myself. My two favorite subjects to paint are street scenes and musicians while performing. Being a professional musician myself, other local Austin musicians have often been the subject of many of my paintings. I also have a "jazz" series in which the paintings are produced with a palette knife and bright colors.

I studied art at Southern University in Tennessee and attended the Ringling school of art and design. Graphic design was my occupation for 15 years. I have painted off and on before and during that time. Now I'm putting much of my energy into painting. I am also an accomplished pianist having studied it since I was a young child. I do studio work and play with various bands here in Austin including Johnny Bush, Justin Trevino, Cornell Hurd of course and more. I play weddings and restaurants and have a real knack for boogie and honky tonk. I also was a music major in college and love classical music as well. Art and
music are my passion."
